so who chose hybrid and won't go in and will challenge the 39 days.
Was in Santa Clara ofc and during the pandemic they shuttered 2 buildings. They've kept the one with the big Dell logo. When I went into the ofc it was a ghost town. I dialed into meetings from my cubical where ppl should have shown up. (Plus the basics we're even available, such as cup for water ; I'm not even talking about coffe but no water.) So why be the only id--t showing up ?
we will see
I chose remote. I'll happily choose it again if they send me an "Are you Sure?" request.. Lay me off already.
notice alot of bitterness with those who had no backbone to go remote.
yes, I heard you will be laid off soon because of that.
Not me local to Hopkinton opting in to remote. Our whole org approved everyone who wanted remote regardless of proximity to an office.
Facilities generally can only account for their area and sometimes down to only buildings in the area. Its a very micro view
So in round rock a 70% might be believable since it is their HQ.
everyone I know at 176 is hybrid except for those that have moved away. Everyone else is remote and our group is more like 95% hybrid. I think most people did choose hybrid due to the fact that choosing for remote could have been denied if most of your group is in the office.
I don't know that I believe 70% of all U.S. employees chose hybrid. I'm assuming that is just for the main office in RR? Not even 20% of my team live close enough to an office to go hybrid. And there are a lot of people spread out across different states. Dell wasn't even 70% pre-pandemic.
Sorry folks. Facilities director here. The number is close to 70%, for hybrid. No joke. That language used to scare the sh-t out of people if they chose hybrid, seems to have worked. And no, we ain’t happy about it either.
I dont know a single person that denied remote in my area..a few live 30 minutes or less from my office and are now remote
Easier to lay off Hybrids, no need to call them into the office to turn in their laptops.
Seems about right based what I've seen in Org tool.
Source? This sounds made up.
