WFH Manager to Rep

Who else has taken a step down with their WFH redeployment? How is coaching being enforced to those who used to be team leaders and are now single contributors?

@4cla+14V9fitl: Good. Leadership needs to be thinned out. There are far too many GMs and SMs who contribute nothing but continue to ride on SS’s coattails. Our management model is laughable. There is literally nothing an SM or GM can do that an SS can’t, but they have you believing otherwise, that you’re special. Most members of management can’t even process a simple transaction, so I find it difficult to sympathize with anyone who says they find it demoralizing that they aren’t able to fully utilize their skills, which are entry level at best.

My DM can’t even format an email... change certainly energizes us.

@3nak+14V9fitl You make a lot of valid points and observations that have now all of a sudden become meaningless. Post covid will look a whole lot different going forward. There will be some drastic changes , some that are currently short term will become long term. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that how we are paid will change, the structure of management will change and staffing levels will change. Imagine that...all because of an invisible virus that halted the entire world.

@3jjt+14V9fitl “Skills” lol sitting in the back office all day, checking in inventory, being on calls with DM about how your store is driving pull through, TMP, ARD. Hosting pointless team meetings and huddles about the same stuff. Skills lolol. Us SS are just glad if you stay out of our way because the majority of SM and GM and DM for that matter bring ZERO to the sales process. I’m not mad, I’m just saying how it is.

Just because your an sm doesn’t mean you don’t need to get your hands dirty. It’s called stepping up and leading by example.

It’s not the pay, it’s demoralizing to work hard for advancement and not being able to use your skills. Reps that are ok with never advancing won’t understand this.

Humble yourself. If your a GM then you are overpaid to begin with, and there’s never enough work you could possibly do to compensate for the work your team does on a regular basis and the pay they get. Wah wah wah.

boo hoo. must be nice to be doing the same work as redeployed SS but with increased pay. take pride in yourself now that you’re actually contributing to the bottom line, rather than monitoring a small-team and sitting on your a**.

I’m a SM and now a CS rep. I would have like to have had the opportunity to be a supervisor, but wasn’t given to me. Like everyone else says, I’m still getting paid the same so, whatever.

A step down but full pay at the same level. So WTF cares? At first I was like oh no another troll but this thinking seriously exists within our company.
