How likely is that there will be Nike layoffs? Any chatter, news or rumors?

No idea why you’re getting downvoted, it’s true.
My team (all offshore except a few people to talk with onshore business folks) was started up to “help” a well established onshore team. Now that we’re up and running funding has “unexpectedly” been cut for the old squad.
I feel like a fu----g scab and should have known better at the start of all this.
lays are happening. NIKE is doing it quietly. One row after another. Each department is affect. Nike goal is transform all of the work to Indian, in order to save them money.
yes
I feel like only tech is a little over bloated right now. Rest of the departments are a little underemployed or about right. I still think we'll shed some jobs but nothing on a caliber of 2017 or 2020
If we are LUCKY we will stay flat fy2024. That is the best case. Be prepared
There are hiring freezes and ETWs being cut … of course one is coming.
You ask this question every 6 months … what’s up? Not getting enough advertising revenue from this site ?
They’re already shedding ETWs in exchange for cheap Indian & Eastern European labor.
Recession didn’t start yet, so no layoffs on the horizon. Usually companies start first to freeze or minimize the hiring, then they cut the ETWs and only then they cut the FTEs. So, I would say that at least till the new FY we’re safe. If we’re lucky - we can avoid mass layoffs.
What I’m more interested is how much our C-Suite will increase their salaries and perks compared to ours. Inflation is high, Nike Keeps on raising prices by high singe-digit or even double digits. but our wages mostly were up by mid single-digit (with some exceptions. But that means you’re underpaid).
