It has to be said, but as the rubber shop goes into meltdown after only a few days of the wrong person being furloughed, there will be a good outcome, the people in charge, will obviously be found out, how they relied on a certain person to do there job, being friends with the MD can surely only take you so far, watch this space as the rubber shop curtails into complete madness.

Furlough scheme changes end of June, 10 staff is good considering what's happening in the wider economy. Let's pull together otherwise the next set of changes will be redundancies.

Anonymous,
I'll hold my hands up. Didn't see that coming and hopefully we will all get the reason for the furlough's explained to us.
Having had a conversation with a member who has been furloughed then the sooner they can all get back in work on 100% wages the better.

I'm not in a union and I be quite happy to negotiate my own wages

10 staff furloughed, when the redundancy’s came and went, we still had double staff in the offices, finally 4 people doing the same job has finished, and might just might keep the hard working shopfloor workers in a job, will they bring them back??? Can’t see it when after a week they will not be missed, the guy who sits down in oil field all day everyday, is still here though....strange!!!!!!

Morning. Got a few questions and answers for you.

  1. Can u tell me what the union "has let them get away with?"
  2. There are not far off 200 union members on the shop floor. If you didn't know there was one you must be one of the few who don't pay in yet get the wage rises the members & union pay their subs to get. You think that's fair? I think you would be better joining us. The more the better
  3. Union don't do anything to help the lads. What about wage rises? Representing members when they go in for C&C's with HR?
  4. Union doing overtime? Any reason we should not?

If I've not answered your questions or you have something you want to ask or say then come and see one of us rep's. Not much point doing it on here as we don't go on it much. Anyone want to ask me anything or I have p-ss-d you off in my reply come and see me in the paint shop. Better to talk problems over I reckon then put stuff on here then we can try and sort it out.

The union wont say anything because most of them are in at weekends they won't upset the apple cart!!!

Your right there . Union doing nothing to help the lads . And people still in at week end doing nothing sitting o. There backsides . They love paying money out for nothing . We need a big clear out starting with the bosses. We have a lor of overheads.

Seems like no one knows. The management is clueless and the union has let them get away with whatever they want. But there’s plenty of overtime producing sc-ap
