Word on the street is SR and Houston will be moving to once a week in office schedules in an effort to make it a more attractive place to work.

I've seen my BU's upper management more times at Minute Maid Park than mingling with the lowly workforce at the office (when you take out the meaningless Town Halls).
But most of them are insular and not seeking real opinions or feedback.
@5hqc: That has to be a fantasy, or maybe just sheer boredom. Chevron GMs never leave their cloistered executive floors, and only communicate to their "staff" high-pots, mostly telling them which powerpoints and spreadsheets to make. Also, I remember one group I worked in, we were told to not even make eye contact with our GM unless we had three levels of management approval first.
I know a couple GMs who have taken to walking the halls mid-week to se who is around. Taking notes, no doubt.
Boss: We need to come into the office to collaborate. P-e-on: Sitting at my desk on a Teams Call.
boss: HR says we have to be here. HR: it's up to the manager.
Boss: Why can't we hire people, are we not paying enough, do they not want to work in "City name here". P-e-on: They don't want to work in an office d-mb a-s.
Execs: Let's give them fruit when they come into the office they'll love it. P-e-on: Fu-k off!
The current system makes no sense except to the lazy employees.
Maybe salaries should be reduced to reflect the actual hours being worked or dedicated to company business . Might make face to face office time a lot more popular!!!!!
What we are doing today is so d-mb. Supposedly come in 3 days a week, but in most cases it is 1 or 2. Then you cant have a face to face meeting as you cant get a quorum. Then everyone takes the meeting from their desk on teams.
I think hybrid can work but our soft implementation is just d-mb.
That would be wonderful. The commute is a complete waste of time as is working in the office to do teams meetings. Absolutely no point in being there and they could save money on the real estate and utilities.

Not likely. Over the years, Chevron management gave in begrudgingly to 9/80, detested WFH, and only adopt 3/2 as a "transition". One day a week means no micromanagement, what else could our managers excel at?
