Can you challenge your MAP rating if your boss gives you a bad rating? Has anyone done this successfully?

@5qbl+1lpKZcYk - Good job! I have much respect on your revenge tactic! They gave me a two rating when I was out on military leave and then my boss told me she wasn't giving me a raise or bonus due to my military leave.... I got her fired!! Karma
If you get a bad rating and have not been shuffled to another manager you are on death row and guaranteed name is on the layoff list next cycle. I survived a bad one 10 years ago since i was shuffled to a knew manager i have recovered. If management not on your side no hope. Funny thing is revenge is a dish best served cold and I go out of my way to make former manager lick my boots in my new role since I can
I know someone that challenged their 2 but it was their boss that agreed to move it to a 3 so without the support of your leader I don't think you will get far. No one else really knows your performance so how can you really have leverage?
Who is the new CIO that mandated 5% had to get 2s this cycle?
The perception is that a ‘3’ rating is bad vs good causes problems. A ‘3’ is meets expectations.
Will not work since it was the new CIO who mandated that 5% of the org had to be rated a 2.
You can challenge it but it’s unlikely to change. HR will defend the manager unfortunately. Even if you prove it. Good luck.
I would definitely add a comment. Do it asap. I think you have to do it today the system closes. Something like this, I respectfully disagree with some statements captured as context is untrue. Also try to get the manager to change it.
I've tried many times in the past but it doesn't work. The other post had good sound advice.... find a new job.
Yes, you can. I am currently doing it. I recommend meeting with your boss and having talking points and why you want ratings changed. You can also add comments to the MAP review itself. If you’re not satisfied you can go to HR. Good luck!
Once thought but focused on getting a new role. Meanwhile that PoS is out and unemployed.
