Thread regarding JPMorgan Chase & Co. layoffs

Chase rejecting my resume every time

I have applied for several jobs on job portal of Chase. 1st day it shows message 'In Review' and after couple of days status changes 'No longer under consideration'.
I have applied for 9 jobs in last 6 months and same thing happens every time. I have experience working with several banks and my resume matches with all the job descriptions.
There is no one to contact. At least recruiter should call me and tell why my resume was not considered or status message should have been more elaborate.

I am very sad, frustrated and feeling humiliated. I smell something is not fair in recruiting.
Has anyone faced this situation with Chase before? Can someone help me why my resume is being rejected without any call from recruiter?

As a general rule - the bank is required to create a req and post it both internally and externally, but sometimes they already have someone in mind for the position (internally). They're just covering their a$$es by posting a job externally. Has nothing to do with your experience (or race as someone mentioned), it has to do with ease of finding someone with an established record and internal candidates are always the easy route.

Managers who hire here discriminate & retaliate over zoom calls rampantly; So surprise not getting a call; You will be profiled based on your name

I'm having the same problem as a rehire/boomerang. I was working with a recruiter to come back in June 2022, had the phone screening then kept getting the "oh let me check on it, I sent it over to the hiring managers" and after 6 months they have ghosted me. I've tried all possible positions I'm qualified for, updated resume to match their ATS and get rejected. I get under review for the main job I applied to, but that's where it's stuck now 6 months later. I've known previous employees that came back within a few months, so I'm wondering what is going on.

I have the same issue with applying to Chase. They rejected all my applications. I have a masters in accounting and also I am a phd student. It is the obvious practice of discrimination racism and favoritism with with mask.

I joined Chase a year back and applied online. My resume was rejected few times earlier. What I noticed that many sneak into Chase through personal contacts and they don't go through hirevue and pymetrics. They also have sham interviews due to connections.
Due to this, genuine candidate can't even get their resume selected and other without merits get into job.

5spb+1a30w7Hg, they have rarely responded to me within days. Probably weeks after I had forgotten about the position. It takes them weeks to get back to me with a sorry, we're not interested or we would like to schedule a phone call or video interview with you.

Happens to me quite often. I had one phone interview and one video, each different positions and got turned down. It's either that or they don't contact me at all.

I have already message recruiters on Linkedin but no response from their side. My resume had all key words/skills posted in job description.

This is turning out to be great frustration.

Networking is the way to go, preferably on LinkedIn. Contact recruiters, show interest and let them know you have what it takes. It's all about attitude and your sales skills. Make sure you modify the resume for each job and incorporate the buzzwords. AI is very picky. Ideally, you get to know the guy, who knows the hiring manager and you will land the job in no time. Remember, some jobs get posted just because of EOO requirements. By the time the job is posted, the position is already filled.
Final note: HR is there to screen you out and manage company risk, they are not on your side.

Good luck, banking with all its aspects is a fast pace environment, dynamic, competitive, highly compartmentalized, highly regulated and a heck of a ride.

I would rather connect with a recruiter from your region on LinkedIn and show my interest in the opportunity. Most of the recruiters @ JPMC are helpful and would inform you about other similar positions/hiring events happening in the area.

You're living in the past. The vast majority of the time no one follows up. Resume's are screened electronically looking for certain words and phrases and kicked out just as fast. The vast majority never get to a human being.
