Global Town Hall Message - Accountability

So here we go again. Decimate the workforce, drive engagement into the ground. Then use flowery unicorn fart messages to try to get the weak minded to believe management loves you and drive yourself back into the ground for the next few months until they make more cuts. Oh yes, we need to bring back ACCOUNTABILITY. Ok, let's start with all the executives that have been sitting at the top of the house driving the train into the ground. Oh heck no. Give them NEW promotions so they can inflict more damage. And now we'll spend the next few weeks getting HR notices of new promotions because we need more management for this new beuracracy. Then time to cut the experienced people that do the work so the new management can hire unquestioning kids so they can begin building their new empires. Wash, rinse, repeat. How on earth can this company be so ridiculously blind? Answer, they are not. Ford can never really move forward and succeed because it is an ecosystem of self-serving narcissism.

How much real time did he spend on any assignment in the company? I bet you change the last name on his paperwork he would not be where he is...At least one of theme should be an engineer so they understand product..

People need to stop hating on the daughter of Bill Ford. Just because you come from a privileged background doesn't make you an id–t. She went to Stanford for undergrad and Harvard for an MBA. She also worked in venture capital. Am I saying that she is the most brilliant person ever? No. I don't know her that well personally. I have had one interaction with her and she seemed fine and dandy.

I can give you that her connections probably got her to where she is today. Even so, I'm sure she has learned something worthwhile from Stanford and Harvard.

People act like she is what's wrong with this company. Ford has much bigger problems than her.

I wander if that "ACCOUNTABILITY" applies to the Ford Family? The company is in the process of downsizing and according to their public statements they will look at qualifications. So again does that include the family? This after all is suppose to be a publicly traded company! If you take away their last name would they be in the positions they have? Would they even be working for this company (here the crickets). A lot of people who spent a good portion of their lives at Ford and are seasoned and educated and trained will be walked out over the next 12 months. But the Fords will still be there. One who only qualification was selling jeans at a CAP store is now qualified for a board seat yeah.. I guess some of us missed that "CAREER DEVELOPMENT PATH"...
The tale of the two Jims is out there now. Farley has a choice to lead like Alan or the Furniture guy (aka Professor Moonbeam)? He has had a chance to watch both operate. My guess he will tow the line with the family even if it pushes us to chapter 11... Ford is still a one trick Pony (F-Series). 90% of the profits come form F-SERIES. They need to find another source of profit. In case you have not noticed you can only finance a truck out to 80 months now.
