Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Nike is the worst at....

Nike is THE WORST at mapping out org structure (always has been, will always be). The sr. leadership folks that mapped it out clearly didn’t understand the process of how anything gets done and have no idea what resources / roles are actually needed. They come up with a very hazy vision and then make everyone navigate (and stumble through) the haze with them. No one is happy with the new org, and now additional layoffs in depts that already had prior layoffs validates the incompetency of the org planners, current leaders, and will drag down morale even more.

My job changed twice since the reorg, my title doesn't really matter since no one has a job description they can follow. Which allows them two things: 1) leaders can keep reorging because we are mostly flex employees, and 2) leading up to our year end we that don't have job descriptions can't be measured properly therfore nike can decide not to give us annual increases (even though nike is not paying cost of living in last 5 years).

@7kci I'm not sure what AD stands for, but I'm guessing it's something the lines of the HR records/Phonebook that shows org structure when you click on someone's name. So often is it wrong! We had a manager/reportee change on my team and our leadership couldn't be bothered with the technical details of it...so the reporting structures were all wrong in the system. Alas, all it took was one call by me, to HR Direct, to get it updated on the spot. So many lazy managers/admins/leaders at Nike. It's hard enough to navigate the matrix when you're looking to get something done, but they make it twice as hard by not keeping the (accessible/visible) org structure updated.

You mean AD has shown you as reporting to the wrong manager for 4 years too, even though it's changed 3x since?
