Renewing the lease is not the same as them promising they'll be the ones occupying the building. It's not uncommon to silently shop a tenant and sublease a floor, floor(s), or the building to another tenant. There are plenty of startups in Columbus (/Dublin area), and having a 4-story building, in Dublin, near the freeway, with a loading dock, cafeteria, and a server room - that's neither too large nor too small, will be pretty good property to sublet to the right company.
Looks like 96 people let go on 4/30 but of them, 12 are extended until 5/29...

Dear Mr. Handberg,
This is a follow up to my email to you of January 31, 2020, in which I informed you of reductions in force occurring at our facilities at 6000 Perimeter Dr., Dublin, OH 43017.
Due to changed circumstances, we will require the services of some of these workers longer than we had expected, specifically through May 29, 2020. Of the original 96 employees that were going to be released on 4/30, there are twelve associates who will now be separated on 5/29.
We have advised the affected employees of this change. The reason for the postponement is to
temporarily cover call volumes across our call center facilities.

@9ahr+14EayaRR - Rubbish. No announcement was made in regards to Dublin, OH.
confirmed dublin, paris, and slough are closing, all folk being told to wfh, some are being laid off.
@6jes+14EayaRR No it isn't made up but you keep being you boo and live in denial. There was indeed a good size layoff yesterday which was posted about in advance on this site. Regarding the Dublin office - I'm not the original poster so I do not know how accurate the post is. What I do know is true is that smaller offices will be targeted for closure. FB has already stated this and you can google it to confirm. I don't know about Dublin but a WARN notice was filed so the layoff yesterday was significant enough to check that they needed to file a notice with the state of Ohio.
The purpose of this site is to discuss layoff rumors.
This information, like most -if not all- information on this site is all made-up BS.
I find this very hard to believe. Even prior to the upgrades onsite, there were discussions about moving elsewhere in the area. If the objective was to close the office, why did they even bother looking for something close by? Perhaps it'll happen, but it seems unlikely.
I'm not sure where this misinformation comes from. Fiserv just renewed the lease on the Dublin building and it houses a significant portion of the e-payments support structure. They also just recently moved a bunch of OFD cyber security people into the building and spent significant dollars updating the break rooms and cafeteria.
That will come after the announcement this week of the closure of the oFD Glenridge office in Atlanta...
