It definitely looks like Dell is struggling to remain relevant in the marketplace today.

Do you mean "The Amazing Apex" that is ran on premise at the customer site or in a Colocation facility, wish allows you to backup to AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.... amazing next generation technology (NOT). Dell doesn't have a true cloud, that is why we are getting rinsed by true cloud providers.
@8bqb+1h1pr2xl HELLO
Have you heard of APEX?
Dell Technologies is a dinosaur (that only survives selling EUC laptops and desktops, in a world where everyone is moving to hyperscale public clouds like Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) that's looking for a tar pit to fall into and become extinct.
Dell sells servers and storage to large corporations and through government contracts at millions of dollars at a time. It isn't "dude you're getting a Dell." That is how they grew in the beginning. Over time they expanded into datacenter business. They acquired EMC and pulled the rug out from competitors, primarily HP. EMC is proprietary and everyone who previously purchased their storage arrays are locked in. They either scale-up with their current equipment or they start over completely with their large storage arrays. Corporate and government are not going to spend to completely change out their storage.
how so?
Wad is just about shot. that's pretty clear.
