I second this @8mwu+1ilUCStG.Just trying to make it to the end of the day is a struggle mentally.Every quarter we get more and more work but no increase in pay.Really dont care anymore and like someone said in another post I am just waiting on the Bob's meeting invite any day now.

I'm officially burnt out. Sorry I would love to be more productive at doing my job, but I've been at Dell for almost 4 years now.

When I first started it was the easiest job in the world, but after the pandemic layoffs and hiring freezes, if you were lucky enough to stay on, your workload has more than doubled since 2018.

Of course management is probably ecstatic that they can do more with less resources.

Doesn't matter to me, a lot of the job should honestly have been automated years ago. The only reasonable explanation as to why it hasn't is because managers and directors want reportable deliverables to show to executives 'we did X work items which is 20% more than last quarter."

@1vln+1ilUCStG, there’s some logic to that, however, going above and beyond at an acceptable level may reveal that you care about your job and therefore help you keep yours if layoffs are happening.

I love the misconception and spin here. It isn't about doing nothing or even doing the minimum. It is about not getting sucked into the idea that work needs to be your life. That you put in more time and effort going beyond doing what you are supposed to for no incentive. For those of you that posted that you are doing other people's jobs. You are the goofs. Why would you do that? Hustle culture has always been bullsh-t

Most of Dell quiet quit 10 years ago. Really fun to be held accountable for other people not doing their work though. Only some people are allowed to do nothing.

Corporate propaganda designed to trick people into feeling guilty if they don’t buy in to hustle culture.
Doing your job is not “quiet quitting”.

Real Quiet quitting imo is when you completely check out and stop giving a damn because you’ve got one foot out the door and are looking for other jobs.

Not really new. It’s called doing the minimum requirement. It’s been happening forever.
