I left the company after 10 years. I'm still in financial services but for a different firm. Benefits aren't as good, but they are good enough. Life is way too short to deal with the INSANE politics within Fidelity. Things really started turning down hill when Abby took over. I slowly watched her try to push her personal political agenda on a company of 70K employees. When the markets are good, they want to be woke, promote women and people of minority backgrounds. There is nothing wrong with that, until you are doing it just to check a box and overlooking more qualified candidates. Managers are completely worthless and add little to no value and they solely determine your success. The job market is very good go check it out!

It can change in the future but I was there 28 years and got 14 months of severance. Basically just divide the number of years you have by 2 and you get the number of months.
With the vrbo, how many weeks of severance per year of service did you get? Thank you.
After 2 years the fidelity health plan premium is just about the same as getting a health plan at market rates, no premium savings till 65.
after 2 years it's COBRA cost.
Same VBO package at age 53. Picked up an easy part time job with no stress and less than 20 hours a week. I usually work 3-4 days a week. Got the job for social interaction and to keep my mind fresh. Life is now good!
52, severance pay plus VBO payout about 2 years of average pay. Cash out shares and debentures. Medical at employee rates for 2 years and eligible to stay on employee medical plan until 65 for all eligible family members at full cost.
Can you tell us the terms of you vrbo offer, also how old you were at that time
Took VBO 2021, then went to work with an RIA. Fidelity’s benefits are top notch but the micromanaging and layers of management not worth it. I loved working at Fidelity my first 15 years but the last 5 were a grind. I do appreciate the VBO since it allowed me to explore other opportunities with money and benefits until 65 and I am happy with my decision.
