Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Excellent news for all hard working EM employees

The chemical company is basically not impacted as the margins are very strong post-Covid.

14% reduction from 2019 - that includes the ~10% PIP that just happened, retirements, and probably another smallish round of PIP next year. essentially no voluntary reduction this year.

Read the email from 9:51 am this morning. 14% reduction in Chemicals “base workforce” workforce from EOY19 to EOY21. That’s pretty significant.

dont be a d_ck @OP+17Fr4WXi.

we are all hard working. you just happen to be in a business unit with a different commodity price cycle. If you don't understand that then we are firing the wrong people. still if its 20 in all of Chemicals, you may still be a chosen one, sounds like you probably not the smartest tool in the NI box.
