Corrective Action: Professionals can Collective Bargain too!

About 20 PIPed/PiLed engineers out here in trailers.
Commune set up in October just off I-10 nearing Lake Charles.
We're not sure how it works, but apparently Collective Bargaining (even by professionals like ourselves) is actually Legal in Texas.
It's looked down on, of course, and ridiculed.
But if the votes win, has to be honored.

Too late for us, but worth thinking about.
We've got our own ideas brewing out here.

I believe a similar attempt happened years ago and then the firms responded by sponsoring H1B's to do the jobs or else exporting the work to India. There is nothing wrong with Collective Bargaining but you need to be strategic about it. Make sure the job you are doing can only be done in a set location requiring your physical presence and that you are the best person for the job.
