Let's start a pool! I say the middle of November. Got to get the low performing retirees out of the way first!

Ask your people leaders about changes to the US Performance and Skill-Based Salaried Separation Program that went into effect October 1. Employees with less than 8 years can now be easily separated without a Performance Enhancement Plan. Additionally, separations can be applied to groups of employees without requisite skills (if their people leaders decide).

Not to be crass, but it appears they may have less retirements than expected and now the brooms are coming out again.

Got SIRP'ed with 2 TA's in the last 3 years, was a TA last year. Delivered or exceeded targets every year, 22 years in. Loved my job and was good at it, assume I was a pension burden. Will start a new job Monday.

There is an awakening. The struggle isn't over - it may have in earnest only just begun.

@1rtq+1iX6ny4B so true. And our kids are indoctrinated into the globalist way of thinking. The country is doomed because they have infiltrated the education system, media, most of the government, and large swaths of the corporate world.

I'm afraid struggle is over. And some of us just haven't accepted the outcome yet.

Maybe it is naivety, maybe it is denial, but some find it hard to accept the fact that the American worker is being replaced. the American citizen is being replaced. Nation states being made a thing of the past. it is a struggle between globalism versus nationalism.

If you believe its the underperformers that will get SIRPed then you ain't paying attention!

Performance has zero factor in who gets SIRPed. Lots of top notch folks were let go in August. I know it makes us survivors feel safe to say "oh it was this or that" that caused someone to get SIRPed. The truth is that no one is safe.

One reason nov 21 has any possibility is that by then they will know who has taken retirement for their last day nov. 30. Any uderperformers who has not taken retirement could be SIRPED then. But then again it’s right before thanksgiving.

JF and DF both did not comment or mention any further layoffs and the latest town hall. That should be enough for you. If anyone knows what will happen, it is they, and they both said they will let us know first.

More layoffs may or may not be coming but I have a hard time buying this timing.
First, all 3 previous layoffs this year occurred in final weeks of the month (April, June, August).
Second, HR sent a retirement survey along with the heads up that lump sums will be reduced significantly after applying latest government interest rates. October is the first month those employees who want to take the lump sum can retire using old/current interest rates. 1800+ showed retirement interest in that survey. Why would Ford pay people who are going anyway?

Do we have any idea of the size of this next cut? About how many in October to be cut?

Since we were promised we'd hear it from management first, when should we expect an announcement to go out?

@wey+1iX6ny4B If you don't want outsourced jobs taking your job, then buy cars made in America, not American branded cars shipped back home from factories outside America.

Give it a few years and most Ford US white collared jobs will be replaced by India/Mexico/China for a fraction of the cost. Work can be done WAY cheaper outside of the US in a remote environment. Wake up people, use this as a sign to exit the automotive industry while you can.
