Electric/Power needed to maintain access

What is this baloney? I need to have electric/power in my home just to log in to Outlook?

@cp+1jqajmyxc You put a question mark but it reads more like a statement. MS Authenticator can be tied to access requirements for multiple resources but is wholly separate from connectivity here at Wells. It’s a better version of an RSA key.

But to address the main point of your post, I will fall into the “who cares” pot. Why? Because I’m not afraid to vote with my dollar unlike a vast majority of the dolts on this site and who voice their opinions at work about it. Meaning if you’re being treated poorly, leave. Very simple. Exit with your skill set and reap the benefits elsewhere. Employment is a mathmatical equation, not an emotional one. Those who are unable to differentiate are the ones who are the most upset at our current climate.

Oh wait, “but muh yerrrrrs of ‘sperience! imma owed a sevurinse! “. Can’t see the forest for the trees. Hang out and burn yourselves out hating the job, going home complaining about what happened, it eating you up, all the while the job doesn’t even know you exist. Most employees are just like a Psycho Ex who was dumped. Wells Fargo is living rent free in your heads 24-7.

Pretty sure the MS Authenticator is tied to Office 365 and not necessarily a function of VPN/Remote connectivity?

Either way, companies keep shifting more and more onto individuals. Those who defend it as not a big deal haven't been paying much attention over the years and don't realize they're just another frog being slowly boiled.

It’s disingenuous to compare this to vaccines. In the case of vaccination or lack thereof, herd immunity and therefore the lives of those who are immunocompromised through no choice of their own are quite literally on the line. In the case of this app, the only thing on the line is Wells Fargo’s ability to save a few bucks. There are other adequate ways they could ensure the level of security they want other than this method.

If you can see this errodes personal rights you are the same fool who took the vax and believe everything main stream media spews. There are more and more people living off grid and using Solar Power to power their devices. SMH

Straw man argument. If someone for whatever reason wants to go without electric power at home and still be employed at Wells Fargo, they can simply come into the office 5 days per week. If someone doesn’t want to download a third party app onto their personal smartphone, or even doesn’t want to own a smartphone at all, going in 5 days a week won’t help because you’ll still need this to access MS applications. Which are vital for fulfilling job requirements of just about every single employee at this bank.

How does the company get personally identifiable information over my electrical lines? THEY DON’T! It’s not an equal comparison. Go back to HR you troll!

If you use your personal device for financial info, you should already be using an authentication app for multifactor authentication with any financial sites.

Nice try. There's a big leap between having power and being asked to install a third party app on your personal device where you also store your financial and personal info. That's a false equivalency and it minimizes legitimate concerns about privacy.

I dunno about @OP, but I have a very difficult time using electric devices like computers, lights, and cell phones without electric/power.
