If you are an ASM( Assistant Store Manager) that gets that notice. Congrats. You just earn yourself bonus check. Take it and reapply back to company in 6 months. Just make sure Not to cash out your 401K or you will have to wait a full year to reapply.
Most remaining employees don’t have current qualifications to “jump ship”.
This is happening since not enough people previously jumper ship.
What is ASM??
Why would you "jump ship now" and miss out on the severance? Sure, start looking for jobs if you want a safety net, but quitting gets you less than if you're surplussed.
