Did anyone that got laid off last month get their severance yet?

Your severance is not taxed at half. It is taxed as regular earned income with federal, state, and any applicable taxes taken out. Roughly 25-30% of whatever amount you qualify for
It is all taxed. Half if it is withheld for taxes, roughly, but the rate that severance is taxed is no different than your other income through out the year. Same for bonuses. Higher withholding, but your end of year filing reconciles it.

Allow me to answer for OP.
He’s not hard up for the cash. He/she, like most, do not trust this lying POS company, and cannot wait to have the check in hand so that they can put this miserable place behind them. Is that clear enough for you mr. b-i-t-c-h?
If you’re in New Jersey it’s required to be in your next check by law. Hold their feet to the fire.
I calles the surplus 800 number to ask status. They told me June 6th
@OP Once you sign the agreement, severance payout can take up to 45 days, but often paid within 30 days. Almost half of it is taxed so have fun with that.

You should be checking with the Facebook alumni group. This board is for active T employees.
“ Check is in the mail!”
LOL. Sounds like ol’ Jack Burton in the “Porkchop Express”.
Check is in the mail!
It took six weeks for me to get mine.
No fewer than 30 days, no more than 45 days.
For some should be mid june.
