Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Update contact info in workday??

I’m remote and just got an action to update my address in Workday. Is this a sign I’m targeted to be laid off?

@OP They asked me to as well. A month later. Unemployed without even a thank you for almost 40 years of service. Not a single straight answer from anyone about anything since. Severance or benefits.

I'm pretty sure that's normal maintenance, but do it anyway. If you don't have an external email in workday, you can't access teamworks from outside the WF network.
If you are remote, you are definitely in the list.

@OP I got the same email. I live outside of 40 miles. In teamworks click on Profile(mine is a blank silhouette of a person in the top right corner>Job> flexible work arrangement. Mine has a proposed end date…. Manager claims they know nothing about it…

Presuming you are getting your badge swipes and are in the US, WF shouldn't give an S where you are located. If Sharts house was outside Binghamton and he took a chopper to work every day, no one would complain that he was over 40 miles from home. So who gives an S where the rest of us live? None of their business, beyond tax reporting. A business can require you to work in a specific location sure, but where you live is way outside their realm of authority.

Could be they need remote people to update their address for tax purposes.

Yes. Lots of us don't have a home address listed to avoid gettiŋg a legal document of severance

I dont believe you can change your work location and whether remote or not remote. Your manager with HR can update that. Now if your home address is on the radar screen via a location strategy you should be concerned but it wont be because they asked you. Unless you lie about where you live if you don’t live in the area location compliant whether you are remote or not you are going to be displaced. Health accommodations are different but expect more scrutiny about how they think they can accommodate you in the office. Whether you can drive to work or not is not Wells Fargo’s problem

you can expect a layoff next week... not. you do realize people's contact info changes and it may not dawn on them to proactively update their info in workday?

they do this periodically for everyone and each time the same question gets asked here.
