Per Sam's message today. What does this mean for Ashburn and Alpharetta? Will they be shut down?

@aw where does Tony say this?
Wow, imagine having to go to the office an actually work. Bunch of premature snowflake crybabies. RTO and actually work.
@eb The stock is down because of employees like you! The "Dividend" is why YOU have a job there. The "Dividend" comes from excess cash flows from operating a telephone company profitably by providing efficient, cost effective service to the customers who will pay US to do that, less any reinvested capital.
The lack of effective leadership, terrible esprit de corps, kr---y customer service, over employment of managers moving pictures around in presentations, and mixed messages to employees and customers are the root of the problem. Employees who don't know what the company is about is a symptom of that problem.
Reduce opex to keep that dividend alive. All goals beyond a quarterly dividend are second tier. Employee satisfaction hasn’t mattered in years.
"...the future talent pool is in India..." - @a9
Talent pool or cesspool?
Let's see if they are listening when the next survey results come out and all the 'leadership' and workplace questions come back as 1-star as well....
There are 5 Verizon Hub locations, Basking Ridge, Irving TX, Temple Terrace, Atlanta, Cary NC, this is not new news
This is what Han's real boss, Hans from the World Economic Forum, was referring to when he stated that "You will own nothing and you will be happy!"
That comment concerns making the workforce easily movable without having to get caught up with the cost of relocation packages. When the tax benefits of being in Tulsa or Lake Mary disappear, then they will move the operations to some new tax effective and cost effective area.
It makes it even easier if you don't have to pay for relocations.
This is why Blackrock, and the company leadership want to break down National Boundaries and loyalties so that the workforce looks at the company as the only place to put their allegiance. This is the battle with Trump right now. Boards like Verizon are at odds with what Trump is trying to promote.
The company and lack of even basic leadership have transformed the V Team culture into a loser loop where the employee hearts & souls are stripped on Monday when they are tossed back into the polyglot Potemkin Village pretending to be a phone company, where once it was a culture that "moved quickly towards the action instead of hiding from it.
The company will survive Hans and Sampath the Short. So stay frosty!
@a5 Want more info on North Point
@a1 Tulsa closing in 1st q ‘26 per Tony
So Ashburn and Alpharetta are now second-class locations? This feels like a soft phase-out. The company can dress it up, but let’s not pretend this isn’t a major signal of downsizing outside the chosen hubs.
@a4 the future talent pool is in India. This is a goal to cut stateside headcount and costs for future outsourcing.
North point to close, and employees will be required to move to NY,NJ or Irving. Timing is still being worked out, but nuts in seats likely by Q1/Q2 2026. Full RTO to be implemented in parallel. See the layoffAT&T for more info.
What a brilliant move by the company. Limiting our future talent pool to 3 locations and making all of your current employees feel like they are on the chopping block.
Sam did a great job delivering that message with a smile on her face and when she told us the offices would have a "vibe" I stood up and started applauding!

The rating on that VZTube video says it all.... 1.1/5 stars
"Centers of Excellence" or the home of lots of employees who work for a little?
Who knows. Just put me out of my misery at this point
Centers of Excellence in Tulsa and Lake Mary?
