We haven't lost anybody to layoffs since I joined nearly four years ago. Yesterday, we lost two people. Now I understand what people mean when they say they live in constant anxiety. My stomach’s been in knots since it happened, and all I can think about is whether I’m next. It’s only been a day, and I already hate this feeling.

lol, ok kid.
@b3
pssst... 'Boomer' is not used only in reference to Baby Boomers. It is widely accepted as being a reference to someone who even just acts old. Heck, a 20-something probably sees some 40-somethings as boomers.
@a8
Thanks for the laugh.
Not the troll. Not the troll hunter.
No one is safe. I don't care what your role is, HY is working hard everyday to outsource, contract, or AI it out of existence.
You’re never really safe. It’s the world you live in your head, then it’s the world where pretty much everyone else is struggling. Welcome to the Savage Land.
OP - I’ve been laid off before and came back stronger and better. I agree the uncertainty is stressful , but there is truly zero sense in being that worried about it. There are only two things you can do. 1. go find another job now and jump ship before they get rid of you. Or 2. Stay for the ride, stop worrying, hope it doesn’t happen to you, but if it happens, it happens, and then go find another job after they lay you off.
But if you stay, there is NO sense in stressing. If your number is up, your number is up, and there’s a little you can do to change it. Thankful there’s still a half-way decent severance package!
@b3 Yes and as you've demonstrated, the childhood lead exposure continued well into Gen X. Nobody was talking to, or about you. Learn to speak only when spoken to.
@ad you realize the youngest boomer is 61. They are all chilling on a beach somewhere. You may mean gen x and are just too stupid to know the generation differences. As gen x we created the internet.. your generation mainstreamed eating tide pods
@ae Seems like someone...calling an obvious troll post a troll, not saying layoffs aren't happening? Where do you think it says that? Of course they're happening.
You clearly don't know what circular arguments even are or what you're trying to prove there. Bizarre behavior to be sure, but the critical thinking picture is definitely becoming clearer.
What woud you call this? "Nope, it's the troll. The melodramatic title and cringey writing give it away."
You're using circular arguments. Do you think the layoffs are real or not? So based on your logic, layoffs are happening, but anyone who posts about their experience, or the experience of others, is just insincere fear mongering?
Then you attempt to attack my intellect, but I'm not the one sending these crazy mixed messages.
This is my last message wasting energy on your fickle mental instability.
This forum becomes a lot funnier when you realize it's just a handful of paranoid boomers gassing each other up with fake rumors. The credulous facebook conservative to thelayoff great replacement theory pipeline is real.
@aa Nobody said people aren't getting laid off? No wonder you believe everything you read online with that level of reading comprehension.
There are a LOT of troll posts here trying to mess with the kind of miserable people desperate enough to find this place, which at the end of the day is mostly anonymous headcases posting rumors.
And yet you're giving yourself upvotes and lashing out all over the place to run interference for them, especially for the most unsubstantiated and fearmongering rumors. Why?
You invest a lot of time in making others fearful and promoting the most apocalyptic narrative possible ("nobody is safe"? come on now, thats some alex jones sh-t). You should examine why you make it your mission to spread misery in an already miserable workplace. Some self reflection and finally being honest with yourself would do you wonders.
@a9 Clearly you are unstable.
I'm tired of posters like you minimizing a serious problem that is 100% real. I don't know what severance has to do with it. Many people are getting laid off. It isn't some conspiracy. If you dig deep enough, you can even find evidence in the media talking about how Wells Fargo has shed 50,000 workers since it's top.
This forum exists to help inform about layoffs. If you google Wells Fargo Layoffs, this site is at or near the top. It's how I found it a couple months back.
@a7 fu-k off HR shill. Go post about another BLOODBATH that never happens
@a7 You seem awfully defensive about people calling out obvious bullsh-t. Probably because you're carrying water for Charlie's agenda to te--orize people into quitting without severance....or are you still pushing the lie that severance is being cut this year?
The biggest troll here is you. Quite literally posting on every...single...thread in attempts to discredit it.
If you believe you are able to pick people out of a crowd based on perceived posting patterns, then you must be spending a lot of time here. Why are you wasting that much of your time if you think none of this is real? How much of WF's time are you wasting here, I wonder? Do you even work for WF?
@OP Where is your job located?
No one is safe lmao this site
People have been talking about this threat for 6 years and you just now get it? No one is safe! You might be okay for a bit, but eventually it will circle around.
This is the point of the slow and steady trickle versus the big headline making news you see from other companies. They've shed over 50,000 workers since Shart started, yet somehow stay out of the news.
Nope, it's the troll. The melodramatic title and cringey writing give it away.
Same OP, same. You are not alone.
Zero point in worrying about it if you're not going to do anything about it
