Thread regarding Fannie Mae layoffs

Med-Large sized wave coming July ish

Brace yourselves. This is not a ‘cry wolf’ troll. Do what you must. Any personal data, things you will need for your next job search, any previous prep /notes etc…now is a good time.
CoBRA match has not happened yet. It’s been over a month since June cohort. Heads up.

@d4 I think they will do a couple older people and then offset with some younger so it doesn't look like they are targeting age. Also, quite a few older have sort of made it known they want to be let go, but maybe they won't cut older people knowing they will leave soon and then not have to give them any severance. I think most of the cuts will continue to be senior associates and some leads who they think are overpaid. I expect some management soon because many managers have very few people working for them anyway.

@bv
Probably a younger cohort. AI can more easily do that work.

I don't have any inside information but I expect at least two more rounds this year. I also think it's going to be skewed towards older employees making 200+. It's obvious what they are doing and direction they are talking. And there is a long way to go.

Can we expect age group specific targeted layoffs over 40’s or 50’s?

@OP What is "medium to large"? The last cut was 350ish...more than that?
