What's happening with the MBA position? I know a lot do not understand the position and everything they do. They do so much. Basically a director is smaller stores.

@c1 same, MBA here, I feel like I'm trying to do it all and never have enough time. Cash office, housekeeping, profit, scheduling, on boarding, hiring, safety, coaching, AYS, curbside.... right... let's throw jewelry in the mix now too and most days I don't even get a lunch. All of you that think MBAs just sit at their desk, that's because 90% of their job is computer based, doesn't mean we aren't working. Please take on my tasks for a week and see if you can balance it. I praise my fellow MBAs, they really are the glue holding everything together and get the least amount of recognition. Keep your head up, you've got this!
Honestly as a regular colleague here…It’s too much. I’m a high performing colleague and they throw too much at me, even giving me supervisory tasks which I’m not even getting paid enough for my regular role. I can only do so much, but will not let this role push me until I’m stressed. That messes with your health..That I will not do. If a leader can’t do it or chooses not to do it …I’m not doing it for them.
The MBA role used to sit in the office all day
@OP honestly, it’s hard to pinpoint what my priorities are supposed to be now. I try to help with everything, because thats what leaders should be doing. However, with the ever-changing workload/responsibilities, I’m having a really difficult time getting things done, and feel constantly overwhelmed (like all managers/colleagues, I’m sure!). I’ve been with the company for over a decade, and this is the absolute worst I’ve ever felt. It’s disheartening because I adore my store team and colleagues, but I’m actively looking for a way out. The expectations on the store teams with their current lack of resources is not sustainable.
Agreed I am basically my store’s Director we are a lower mid volume store around $18 million and now they have added, Fine Jewelry, CXC’s to my plate in addition to my duties as the MBA , I run the store and business when our Store Manager is out and am expected to support/peer coach the CXM’s in our building helping them as they are not as experienced and need guidance on how to do their roles , I also provide guidance to our SMM/OOM at times as they need
Doing all things MBA with these new additions is stretching me even further than before and things will eventually fall through the cracks
