There are discussions about possible management-related layoffs next month. Has the company provided any official update on whether this is accurate, and if so, which organizations or leadership teams would be impacted? Transparent communication through official channels would help reduce uncertaint

There's a reason 'leaders' received upgraded titles (without pay bumps) a few years back. It was a way to help them get jobs externally once let go.... Hence next round for 6 and up. Dan is contemplating each leader left standing to have minimum of 14+ headcount. Fun times ahead !!
Directors and Managers with less than 10 workers beneath them are the next dominoes to fall.
Another 10,000 will be gone in September.... Fact!
@ac EISP. Did someone say EISP.
Reading back through the treads. I think it was already confirmed/speculated that there will be at least 2 more rounds this year. Remember layoffs are now a way of life at Verizon and will be until we reach $5B in savings and maybe beyond.
In what world do you live in? Have you not read any posts here?
The company WILL NEVER tell you layoffs are coming. There is zero transparency, and never will be.
Just assume there will be quarterly layoffs in any group, and plan accordingly.
@OP confirmed
@OP So you are skipping August?
@aa which managers are irrelevant? Are you saying managers in retail will get wiped out?
@OP Don’t know, but let’s beat the topic to death for 2 months. And surprised no EISP groveling today.
They are gonna get rid of all the irrelevant managers on the teams they just wiped out.
