Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Toxic company or toxic employees

In my way out, I want to reflect on my tenure in Honeywell. Great company, great products, but horrible people. A lot of disgruntled employees (and former employees). All the posts in this board are chauvinistic and toxic employees just riding the bus. I wish you all the best… but if you really care about Honeywell, do something to show it.

BOTH.......A toxic company that all the good people have left and is now full of toxic, underqualified people that could not get work in another corporation. They will do anything to stay. The engineering level is embarassing here nowadays.

Just riding the unpaid furlough bus after being required to work extra hours to make up for that 2 weeks on either side of it. Disgruntled? “Riding” the bus? Praying for layoffs and another job as soon as possible with a less toxic management? For sure.

Come its was DA leaving the company or HR leaving the note to muddy the waters.

Remember in the era of information age, Honeywell has hired plethora of publication companies in India to spew lies on the internet to beef up the stock value.

Honeywell has not produced any new technologies, actually it has been loosing market position in all tech. areas.

Honeywell leadership is nothing more than trying to ride their time to cash out on the stock market, and foreign leaders moving jobs & technology to their countries.

The management creates this type of environment. It’s the culture a Honeywell.

If you’re d-mb enough to get a job here, or you will find out the truth.

This is the most entertaining thread so far. A Honeyhater writes a post pretending to love Honeywell - just to flare up the negativity and join in himself. OP- u got issues, suggest a little therapy, doubt you'll ever do it since this is what you live for. I'll hold out some hope for you though...

LOL, OP. Not even close to the truth. Reason so many good people are leaving or have already left is because they were RIF'd in a cost cutting action, lack of opportunity, overworked, unappreciated, or just got tired of the abuse. Stories and comments told on this site are fairly accurate. No resources to get the job done, little to no thanks from upper management, make the numbers at all costs mentality (including some rather dubious financial moves), and conflicting priorities and direction.

Worked with some great folks, but most are gone now. I gained many skill sets working at HON that I've taken elsewhere, and I've also seen many things I never want to see again, especially in how people were treated. And the products, well, they aren't that great, since we either can't deliver or have continual quality problems that are pushing our customers to the brink - at least in Aero.

Dream on, OP, and all the best to you.

A massive barrage of pewk -- glowing five-star lies and garbage -- has been posted recently on Glassdoor. It appears to originate from the same source. Have a look at this pile and the voumit that follows it.

Smart x Nice People = Winning Combo
May 26, 2023 - Assistant General Counsel in Charlotte, NC
Recommend

Pros

Honeywell is populated by very smart, ambitious people. Those people on the whole also seem to genuinely be nice, good and fully formed people. That combination is tough to find.

Cons

I haven't found any yet, other than the general challenges a large company has vis-a-vis a smaller company.

Honeywell has no choice but to employ rejects, failures and losers as there is just no one else to fill the positions anymore, so expect more ridiculous posts like this.

I have to doubt this is the big D.A. but wouldn't it be fun to make up posts from J.W. or V.K. or some other feckless executive of your choosing? If this is the real D.A., it's pretty pathetic that he would bother to come on this site to post this. On top of that the grammar and preposition selection is pretty bad coming from a CEO. So maybe it really is Scarius. I imagine the sensors and bots are going to hit this one pretty hard on Monday.

Oh, Honey, you really need to stop the victim blaming. I’m not sure what you mean by “riding the bus” but it’s more like Honeywell is “pulling a train”. Just because it’s inevitable doesn’t mean we need to lay back and enjoy it. I’m happy for you that you can look back fondly at your tenure at Honeywell. Sweet lovers doth soon part. It is interesting that you chose to read comments on this site. So much negativism from “chauvinistic and toxic employees”. "He only beats me once a week. Why can’t you see in him what I do". You sound like the ideal employee and they may even be sad to see you go, but I doubt it.

Care about Honeywell?
Your definition of Honeywell must be the executive board room.
Why should we care about them when they don't care about us?
They only care about meeting this quarter's numbers, not ensuring our jobs are here 20 years from now.

TOTALLY DISAGREE with your comment!
I managed to get out after only a year rather easily and was hired by another fortune 100 company in the same arena. I have to say, I wasn’t necessarily unhappy at HW, great people and loved the work, but the employee benefit package and starting salary PALES in comparison to what I receive now. DA says many people in the industry that he knows leave HW and come back?!? Come back to what exactly? Unless they get offered more money, the benefit package hadn’t changed in years and probably won’t improve. Only way I would is if I was desperate. HW is ABSOLUTELY dropping the ball when it comes to retention.

Nope, dont care about honeywell. In fact after being harmed by honeywell in numerous ways like illegal disclosure of hipa information to 3rd parties without consent, furloughs, mandatory unpaid overtime, etc .. i am pretty happy to stand in walmart and tell people why they SHOULD NOT buy that fan(brand licensed junk) , security camera (considered a security risk by dod) , or thermostat ( just not as good as competition). If im too busy to be an in person brand ambassador i amuse my self on trains with product reviews.
I would post to glassdoor but we know about that site... paid reviews only please.

Low IQ troll post from the OP. Culture comes from the top, even a simpleton knows that. You must be a director or a manager.

I was committed to making a positive change….but then got busy doing three people’s jobs because leadership told us there’s no budget to backfill. Meanwhile executives are paid millions.

People aren’t disgruntled for no reason. Who doesn’t want to love their jobs? It’s really challenging to love it here when we’re dealing with poor management on one hand and steep budget cuts on the other. I have to bring in my own pens to work. We keep adding surcharges and simultaneously sc--w over customers with late deliveries. And let’s add a refer t bribery scandal to top it off.

What is toxic is a leadership that actively blocks any opportunity to succeed in your job. No budget, no tools, no more qualified colleagues, hours of repetitive junk training, no management, every project run differently, musical chairs, layers of bureaucracy. The reward.....an annual salary decrease after the fraudulent furloughs and merits that are not even a third of inflation. Mr DA, you sir are an abject failure and parasite who own self interest buried a once great company, pat yourself on the back with your robbed millions.

WAS a great company, DID make great products, PUSHED out the best employees. All that is left is the scrapings from the barrel bottom compliments of talentless, toxic, chauvinistic leadership.

There you go, just needed a little editing.

Hey DA - mic drop. It's not a toxic company or employees. Its toxic executive management. Taking from the employees to make your book while we get bumpkis. By the way, you are not DA at the top. He at least understands how to use the English language. Or so I hope?
