All the time I thought that we would get back on track, but no.
Is it possible that the leadership does not see the extent of the damage they are doing to the company?
Or are they perhaps still feeling confident that they are doing the right thing?

I think nobody cares. GSRs know that they will get axed if they stay longer and anyone who have been with Ford for the last 8 years have seen many rounds of layoffs. You can see many projects in Ford started by a set of people who are no longer with Ford. No one stays for an entire life cycle of any product.
