Change my mind – the new Performance+ process is an attempt by senior management to ki-l three birds with one stone:
- Fire expensive pension holders legally (with less lawsuits for age/race/gender) under pretense of “low performance”
- Insulate upper management from takeover by DEI initiatives by removing the rungs in the ladder that are necessary to reach LL4+, e.g. hire incompetent LL6 & LL5 as a buffer between LL4+ and the GSRs… GSRs have no path to promotion despite being the ones who are running everything and are highly skilled, but in low visibility roles.
- Inject fear into everyone left to increase their productivity and convince them to accept working harder and longer for less pay than they deserve
…maybe there are even more “birds” they are hoping to metaphorically ki-l here?
