Probably you are one happy boot li---r at ford.
Good luck
OP: Which department?
Same here, August on target trending up and now, below with nothing said prior to today and no feedback on why. Classic set up
Your Ford managers, are setting you guys up, with the help from Ford HR. What is likely to happen next is you and your fellow coworkers are going to get PIP's slapped on you. HR who has a lot of power in defining PIP's will write them to guarantee that you guys fail your PIP's. At the end, HR will state you failed the PIP and are being fired. With being Fired, Ford house of Employment Attorneys will appeal your Unemployment claim, soon after you apply with the Michigan Department of Labor, so you won't get any unemployment.
You would feel a lot better if you quit your Ford job, packed up everything you got and moved to West Virginia where you can start working as a Coal Miner. West Virginia mines are hiring like crazy now. You probably would find a job the day after you move there.
If Ford must rank 40% of all workers poor performers... what does that say about Ford management and HR, and talent acquisition?
Tells me they are all poor performers and should be fired. It is they who hire the team and manage the "teams".
Yeah they are preparing for cuts. If your efforts don’t align with the review, assume they want you to leave. All but one of our top performers was given a below out of the blue, after having always gotten top achievers. The one who did not get a below is under 40, the others are 49->60. Hmmmm wonder why? The LL6s all song and danced it, and then blamed it on the LL5. Typical Ford BS.
There’s a new policy where management has to rate 40% of the workers under them as below target. I guess higher ups don’t want knowledge transfer to happen
sorry to hear that. right there with you. i think the other posts saying that they want to leave a paper trail for layoff justifications is spot-on. before it was seemingly more random (tho we know it wasnt random), open to law suits for age discrim, etc.
Perhaps the lawyers realized that they messed up big time in the June ‘23 firings when they completely abandoned their performance review system and just fired people seemingly on a whim. So now, if you are the wrong ethnicity, gender, age, race, whatever, they are covering their buttons.
FnF first.
Just make plans to leave. It seems that's what they want from most people anyway. This isn't how you treat people you want to stick around.
What was the point of mid year review? If it's going to not matter at the end year which is used for bonus calculation
@OP
Same here. "On Target" at mid-term then "below target" for final review and at no point during the last half of the year was I told that my performance was trending "below target". I thought it had something to do with changes to the rating system late in the year, but in another thread someone said that my management ignored the requirements for the mid term review.
you should've been informed before that you were tracking below. it shouldn't be a surprise
I feel your pain.
Same thing for me today. Clear message there is no interest in ensuring the people literally bleeding for the company in trying to fix the damage executives have made due to their failed decisions. Funny, how they, the ones making the directional decisions, go unscathed. We should be seeing dozens of them being shown the door. But no, let's beat up the workers being forced to carry out their directives and then clean up the mess they make. Takes some real brilliance to think this is going to fix Ford's problems.
Good
Never too late to realize
