  1. Your manager may or may not get advanced warning from the displacement contractor, has to complete some training about "difficult conversations" if they do know.
  2. You get a meeting invite the day of in the morning. From your manager or another manager if you manager is also being let go.
  3. No matter what happens in that meeting there is a deadfall system that cuts your access at 2 PM EST, so say your goodbyes asap. After that, you are still an employee officially for your (typically 60 day) non-working notice, but have no system access.
  4. You will receive an email and a packet in postal mail to sign and agree to terms of salary continuation leave and given further instructions and links to job search resources.

"I for one have never been in a situation of this magnitude before."

I have. But then again, I'm a boomer so that experience isn't relevant with a lot of people on here.

My question is how long are those in LOB specialty locations ok.

Pretty sure your manager gets notified and acknowledges the action. After that you have either 30 or 60 minutes until your access is turned off. The ones I know got 30 minutes so be prepared. This is why you get 60 days of being on zz.

I think decisions are sometimes made at higher level. Are you near retirement? Not in a hub or specialty market? Are you going into the office?

Three strikes and you are out, just don't know when but that is what you can expect. Be prepared.

The policy is known for most divisions now. If you are in a core city, you are likely going to be fine. If you are not in a core city, between now and end of 2027 expect to be laid off. If you are work from home, then you will be asked to return to office (unless medically accommodated) if in core city. If WFH in non core city, refer to non core city sentence above.

What’s not known is when for those going. But it will be in next few years. California and other high cost states are first.

Not sure never gone through this in my many years of working. Don’t look like anyone is going to answer and if they do it’ll only be speculation. There is more false statement’s on this site than factual. Wishing all my co-workers good luck. We all deserve more than this. They should just get it over with if they’re going to lay us off.

Great question. I am curious to see if you'll get some straightforward answers on here. I hear that letters and emails Will be coming out. Is that how WF puts someone on their 60 day notice? Just asking. Please no snarky answers. I for one have never been in a situation of this magnitude before. Alot of volatility and uncertainty for the future.
