Mid Year and VSP timing

Sr. Leadership is requesting that these reviews be done before the VSP window closes. They want to get as much info in as possible to start doing rate and rankings of employees so they can determine who would need to be involuntarily separated if they don't get enough volunteers. People thinking because they choose to stay at Verizon, means that they are safe. No, you are not. The company has a number they have to hit. wake up. Being loyal to Verizon does not mean they will be loyal to you.

@OP is full of it. Leadership doesn't need the reviews to make that determination - they already know who is who. They want the reviews done because is when THEY SHOULD BE DONE!!! VSP has nothing to do with it.

@1bcv+1t6YSSg7 involuntary separations through RIFs happen more often than you think so rank and stack is a continuous exercise. Its normal that they would ask for PAs sooner to facilitate the review of VSP volunteers then, maybe RIFs. no need to spread panic

Those of you saying mid years are always due this time of year, then why are we being told to have it delivered and signed by 7/5? The company deadline means nothing, especially when teams can and have imposed their own deadline in the past.

They don’t need a mid year they already know rank/stack as if they care. The only ranking that matters is not captured on performance reviews.

Shadiest company on planet Earth. If the job market wasn't cr-p, I'd be gone. Just got my degree and working towards some certifications. I would encourage anyone to self improve, keep your resume updated, and jump ship at the first opportunity.

… Those that volunteer for VSP have until 7/19 to press the button and 7/27 to revoke their election … so by the end of July. Historically PAs must be completed by mid/end July (last year’s deadeline was 7/21 to be exact)
