Ford has been hard at work rectifying quality issues with its lineup, and it seems to have finally paid off. The entire 2024 Ford lineup has better initial quality than years past, which is good news for the 2024 Ford Maverick. In fact, the insanely popular pickup ranked second among its peers in the J.D. Power 2024 U.S. Initial Quality Study (IQS), meaning that Maverick owners are thus far satisfied with its quality.

The 2024 Ford Maverick was only outranked by a single rival: the Hyundai Santa Cruz, which is, coincidentally, its only rival in the compact pickup segment.

@OP. You reminded of an old USSR joke. An American and a Soviet decided to compete in a race between them. The American won.

Next day, all American newspapers published "The American won, the Soviet lost in the competition". Pravda (Translated as "truth", was the oficial newspaper of the USSR Communist Party) published "Soviet achieved second place in the competition, while American arrived penultimate (second to last)).
