Agree that office affairs really do make me want to come to campus.

Another tip to the ones below, always call your mistresses by the same pet name as your wife. Slip up and call out wrong name and neither will know.

Same here, I just do one at a time though.

Best ones are HR and Public Affairs. They bcc you on the really good stuff. You would be shocked if you could see some of the email chains that I have been bcc’d on.

EM is much worse off than you can imagine.

I distract myself with 2 different affairs.

It is easy, just follow some simple rules:

Never date 2 people from same department

Never date anyone single, they eventually want commitment

Never tell anyone.

I don't give a f-kk about the environment. I'm here just for the f-kking money. That's it. If you're toxic, an id--t, or a dikk su-king corporate leach I just don't give a f-kk. I'm here for the money.

Most corrupted company I ever level I ever worked. Since most of the executives never work anywhere else they think this is normal. Also after you become a manger and up the system protect you. So suggest you to leave.
I saw decisions being made not because would benefit the company but because it would impact the ranking. I could not stand see my VP pretending that nothing was happening since he was about to change job and could add something to his accomplishments that in 3 years would be a horrible decision.

I left. Your not the only one having these issues, my shrink told me 98percdby of her business is a direct reflection on our employees. She said that probably 9 out of 10 employees are in anti depressant meds. No wonder some folks don’t struggle they are dr-gged up. It’s a shame that folks have to rely on medication to stay here. I left and feel a lot better.

@lua: "Imagine working at a nursing home..."

Dude! That is exactly why I got an engineering degree - to minimize my contact with actual human beings.

While at XOM, I just ignored the toxics and did a good job - knowing I would get sc--wed in the ranking. Then I left XOM and got a job where doing a good job earned praise, bonuses, and raises

Don’t be a pa--y. Call them out on it and print let people push you around. If you act like a doormat, you’ll get treated like a doormat.

Lowered my expectations and completely detached. I come in, do my work and go home. One year to retire and after seeing good people treated like garbage I just don’t care about the place.

Imagine working at a nursing home or in home care with elderly dementia parents, always dealing with nursing staff, Medicare, and Social Security and end of life issues. Compared to this, office drama feels like recess with toddlers.

Get your toxic manager promoted to their next assignment so that they become someone else's problem.
