Ford Strengthens Model e Division with Strategic Workforce Adjustments

Ford Motor Company has outlined plans for targeted workforce adjustments in the Model e division, based on strategic recommendations from Goldman Sachs and Boston Consulting Group. Proposed reductions, primarily affecting engineering and product management roles, aim to streamline operations and enhance efficiency ahead of upcoming electrification milestones. Ford credits insights from these advisory partners in shaping this optimization strategy to strengthen long-term competitiveness amidst the ongoing tariff complications.

Model e initiatives in the Ford+ Plan are still in play. Leadership and BOD supports 100%.

This means they are all 100% stupid. Thankfully they have money … right?

@a2+1jr3zgym3 We’ve been wasting $5 billion annually on a team charged with innovation, Ford Next. They failed on every project, largely because they have people in charge that 1) never made any product, 2) never started a company, and 3) never worked anywhere other than Ford. How can that person not be laid off for failing at everything, including Canopy???

I remember the days when every employee was encouraged to submit innovative ideas.
No $5 billion budget needed.

@a5+1jr3zgym3 You could say DF has Marin guiding GS in tuning our engine to boost efficiency and chart an even brighter road ahead—Built Ford Tough

Be rest assured, as long as DF is at the helm of Model e, it will remain successful and continue to grow and shape Ford's corporate future and culture.

This is just a minor fine tuning of the plan.

Not sure what these comments are making a joke out of.. by strategically realigning our workforce, we’ve strengthened our ability to deliver industry-leading electric vehicles and mobility solutions. These targeted adjustments ensure our talented teams remain agile, efficient, and fully dedicated to our bold EV goals. The levee Shiverado is frozen in our path.

Hope your team enjoys being “right-sized” into success. Cheers to the lucky ones who escaped with severance and sanity intact.

Seems Ford’s figured out the secret sauce: fewer people = more innovation. Genius strategy, honestly. If you’re still here, buckle up, they’re clearly not done “streamlining” just yet
