When you get laid off at the end of your 60 day notice period you lose your insurance and get severance pay so does the heath benefits stop getting taken out of your paycheck during serverance? sorry may be a silly question but i dont know.

For those that are saying that health benefits continue to be active during severance payouts, is that for the employee only or for the entire family. I assume it is for the entire family since nobody has said otherwise.
Too bad this isn't posted on Teamworks where any person who wants to read it could access the Benefits Book and read the Severance section. Such a. Shame.
Answer!!!!
@a3 is correct. As someone in severance myself, I can say most everything continues and will be taken out of your paycheck as before during severance except 401K which will be discontinued. Health, dental, vision, legal (ARAG)) if you had that will continue through the severance period unless you take out a lump sum as already stated.
@a6 No I'm saying you'll continue to receive, and pay for, benefits through the severance period, unless you take the lump sum. I don't know which ones continue, but health at least. HR can tell you.
@a3 so ur saying we pay for dental health and vision even tho we DONT have it due to layoff????
Your base benefits continue through severance, unless you take a lump sum payment.
