Can’t stand the low qualify work from Indian offshore teams

But the company keeps hiring and expanding in India. Wells Fargo is becoming an Indian company.

The response by HY to this kind of situation is to downsize the American workers complaining about the garbage work coming from India. That's their solution.

@gg Excellent point. Whoever has the AI will prevail. Now if exec management only has AI for the offshore team then US will be out of luck.

India job openings have been culled by a large amount - go check job openings on Workday. It looks like leadership is finally wisening up and the tide is shifting.

AI will make Indian dev teams obsolete. Instead of hiring 20x generally subpar. Just super train a team of 5x Americans you can actually communicate to and get it done. Then for support have all the automations in place and just have a few Indians to execute procedures.

@c9 Yes I am an Indian manager and have a lot of H1B employees on my team. Myself included.

50% tariff will not get your job from offshore. Trump is creating a fancy world and it will crash like Bush last term. As long as dollar is the world currency, american companies will find way to squeeze the americans. Stop complaining here.

It took until the 21st century for a stagecoach to be commandeered by Indians.

@c4 Bold claim. Just checking, you wouldn’t happen to be Indian or indian manager, would you? In that case, everyone knows how you like hiring your own fellow H1Bs, which just happens to be, questionably, 90% Indians. I wonder how? Some day, may be you will accept that you are not good at working with anybody else but Indians.

Quality of work is up under H1B. We should continue to hire more.

HR being offshored is not good. Hard to get a simple answer.

I was told we can’t expect too much of them because they get paid so little. Sorry- not my problem. If you are hired to do the job do it. Even in the US they are so insular that they create exclusion in our offices. I do try to be extra nice to the Indian women because they probably experience the cr-p in the office and at home.

@aw it's always hilarious when people want to scream racism in the US. If people only knew how bad it is in other countries like India, Asian and even Europe.

It was cr-ppy India work that caused 9 billion in swift payments to go to wrong people.

I’m a non-white American, and I’ve experienced subtle forms of racism from few onshore Indians — and from more than few offshore WF indians.

Leave the exclusionary mindset and regressive culture back in India — it doesn’t belong here. Stop always hiring your countrymen in US teams. Nobody is buying the idea that only indian countrymen are uniquely qualified for the jobs.

@a5 - Amen to that, but remember that the banking lobby is the largest and will certainly get their way.

@a5 that tariff should be even higher given how direct the reduction in US consumer spending power is vs the lag effect with manufactured goods.

They fri66in’ belabor everything, get way off trail, and bring too many of their caste to meetings.

Why are they on the payroll again?

Was the misspelling of "quality" meant as a pun or attempt at irony?

Agree! The number of fires they cause is beyond frustrating. Ready to quit because of how bad it’s gotten.
