Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Looks like hybrid schedule will continue…at least for a while…

Heard that one or more of the buildings at the Chandler campus (core site) are about to be remodeled, so those employees are now having to cram into the available workspaces. I also heard that most employees are losing their assigned cubicle and will be working at unassigned workstations. This all seems to indicate the one week remote and one week in the office will continue to handle the influx of increased capacity.

@a8+1jngwh66j I'm new to Chandler but not WF and see this Reserved sign on cubicles all the time, as well as all the personal items that are out in seats. It's ridiculous.

I don’t think they’re going to let what’s going on at a single location dictate bank-wide policy. We may be hybrid for now regardless, but the moment JPM announced they expect people back in 5 days per week, it became inevitable we all eventually will as well. Especially now that the current administration is making it a big sticking point. In another year or two we may get told WFC is implementing the google guy’s philosophy of being in office “at least every weekday” with a “sweet spot” of 60 hours worked. Of course we shouldn’t expect Google-level compensation to come with that, just the Google-level productivity expectations.

Hopefully they make sure they haven't left any other corpses behind during the renovation. At least they found the second one within a day.

Remodels are no guarantee of safety, seen many a site closed right after expensive remodeling was done. That said, Chandler will be one of the last hubs to close before it all goes to I&P.

I worked in Hillsboro, Oregon, at the “Barnhardt Center” named after a local Wells Fargo agent from the Oregon Trail days named William Barnhardt. We had assigned seats and worked 1 week at home and 1 week in office. We did that since we returned to office, a couple of years, hundreds of people.

Assigned cubes are far and few if they even exist. Nobody is working one week in one week remote. Since when did this even become a thing. I call bs in this.

Eh?

I am in Chandler. There are no assigned cubes in Chandler that I am aware of other than the people who stake their claim via printed signs "RESERVED" or populating them with personal belongings. I was in a cube last week, some woman came up to me "I usually sit here" - too bad Sally, not today.
