Metro Square still has over 100 employees here…
@ q4+1jnq5w3me I keep wondering the same thing, which jobs are being laid off. They laid off people in claims in Hollins and our entire executive office in Roanoke, VA. The Wells Fargo Tower in downtown Roanoke no longer has any employees. All jobs in the area are either at branches or the corporate office in Hollins,VA. This location has collections, mortgage, fraud, claims and a customer service. They halfway through a renovation and plan to hire 1000 people.
Best of luck to everyone at Metro Square in Jacksonville. I am thinking of you.
I was in this office. Confirmed as accurate as part of the core sites relo strategy. The office primarily housed Treasury management roles including GTM dedicated and GTM NSG, also treasury implementations. They announced our demise last summer with no determined date, just a general TBD, "by the end if Q1 2025". We have been going to work week after week since not knowing if it was our last week or not. It has been mentally exhausting.
I've been laid off with other banks over my career, but I anticipate this one will be different as the Jacksonville job market is terrible at present.
Which departments/teams are impacted? Can anyone elaborate? When is that building being dropped by CPG?
Does that mean Indiana might get a reprieve?
Flush the headgear out new guy, Shart is downsizing every state, well, except the ones in India.
Couldn't happen to a more deserving state.
