Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Stankey's problem is he has no credibility as a change agent.

He talks as if he just arrived yesterday to clean up somebody else's mess.

It's simply not logical to think he has suddenly appeared with the secret answer sheet, and we all need to buy in and commit to his vision as our enterprise savior.

Nature has a way of punishing that kind of unwarranted hubris. The floor crumbled out from under him at WarnerMedia. Sooner or later it will at T, as well.

When u make a mess, you were told to clean it up. Thats what i was told when i was a kid and to apologize for it.

Thats the issue I see with him. He just can’t apologize, his ego is too big.

You never heard him reject all the mergers and acquisitions and now for some reason he gets to wear superman cape.

Just imagine what we all would had if the stock had just made small improvements 10-15 years ago. I will never forget when my own Edward Jones financial rep told me to dump my own company stock. I felt really embarrassed that day.

We should have kept de la vega, donovan, and sambar. Those guys were likable, could get things done, and still effectively lead the company in a better direction with less cuts to employees and morale.

@a9 He has 1 trick. Cut.. When you're done cutting buy a new company and cut. Cut until it hurts, wait a bit for customers to get used to the lower standards and cut some more. It's never been about revenue or business growth with John.

His real problem is his massive ego for a guy who’s very below average.

He only has 2 yrs before mandatory retirement. Hopefully we make it until then

And even if he retires, who's going to replace him? McElfresh? He certainly wouldn't be an improvement.

We can only hope; however, he has solidified his spot with being chairman now. I doubt we see him go away until the stock starts tanking again.
