Many other companies already have fulltime scrum master roles. Not sure which job boards you are looking at, but there are some scrum master positions being posted out there.

In the past 10-15 years, many companies have been transitioning from waterfall to agile. Some are successful, some are struggling (like WF), but agile will not go away. If engineers fail to adapt themselves to agile, those engineers will be replaced.

Scrum masters' national average salary is about $120K. Scrum masters exist mostly in large cities and their roles widely vary. There are small scale agile scrum masters and large scale agile scrum masters. Some companies are still confused with the exact definition of scrum master and they mix up scrum master, project manager, product owner, engineer all in one role and lable it scrum master.

Scrum masters are pointless. Most fat position in the bank. Get rid of them tomorrow no one will notice, many will celebrate. The people on the scrum team are capable of absorbing the admin work

Fyi scrum masters do not make anywhere close to 140k/year. Trust me, you don't want their work or to have to keep up with everything they are responsible for.

I looked on the job board. No scrum master jobs -- not even in Hyderabad. Scrum is sometimes mentioned like in "Collaborate and consult with managers, stakeholders, scrum masters, project managers, and delivery team to resolve issues and achieve project goals". Don't get ready for the Agile -RIP party yet. Seeing what BE will do with agile at Wells will be interesting. BE-Wagile will not be fun.

Are you even serious? Have you not seen the scrum masters getting canned? WF is realizing their mistake. Scrum masters are a complete waste of time and money. They are the project managers of tech and we all know project managers are now extinct.

They are hired because your supervisors, you managers are too damn lazy to do learn agile and be scrum masters. This agile-fail, this "wagile", or whatever you want to call it will go down as a great bank tech failure. Wells Fargo was behind before this agile experiment -- now they are really behind. With Bridgett don't expect agile to go away. google [site:https://www.thelayoff.com agile Bridget]

WTF, which Scrum Masters are making 140k?
