John Stanley has we-ponized the 5-day RTO and turned AT&T into a corporate Hunger Games.
🚗 Long commute = the opening obstacle course.
🪑 No desk = fight for survival.
🅿️ No parking = bonus round.
🏢 Sh---y buildings = final boss.
🏴‍☠️ Low morale = the prize.

Stankey wants a market based culture, but it’s a 2 way street and we need to give them the same. Just so the bare minimum to get paid and save any effort and energy you have for when you move on to your next company.

Market based = doing the bare minimum to extract the most money I can for the least effort.

They don’t pay me extra when I make them big bucks or save them a ton of money, so I’m just doing my job. Everyone I see is doing the exact same.

If you aren’t getting a desk or parking you need to reevaluate your daily routine. These aren’t issues with proper planning.

Your misery is his entertainment! He wears employee complaints as a badge of honor. In addition, he will never see it as his issue and/or problem. It is your responsibility to address the mess he has created. Make it work for you or there is the door. He exemplifies a complete narcissist and will never change.
