Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

CEO appointment seems rushed

I hope I am wrong but naming Takis immediately as the permanent ceo feels like a short sighted panic move. I am surprised they didn’t name him acting while the right long term leader could be found.

Entire place is imploding... My manager hasn't even addressed our team about this yet. Probably waiting for curated talking points to be delivered to him. This place is a JOKE.

@ah I have a feeling Jana had a lot of influence and pressure in this decision. Unfortunately for Mike, Wall Street wants a quick turnaround, even if it’s going to take a lot longer than that to achieve. Always myopically looking at the next quarter and never the long term picture.

Was it actually rushed or was this in the works for a while? Lyons just didn't jump to Truist in a day. That path took several weeks. Was he feeling pressure from the board? Was he told of specific performance gains that must be met or else? Did the board have TG as a fall back for when/if Lyons left? No one will know.

Takis is an Industry veteran and known for his ability to build businesses. Since taking over GBS he has been working on growing business and not talking AI buzzwords like Dhivya.

He is highly regarded at JPMC and globally for building the payments business of JPMC to $18B++.

Only issue he has is Dhivya and incapable MC around him.

How long you think Dhivya will last??

They’re not concerned about the long-term CEO because Takis’ job at this point is to manage the breakup of the businesses and/or transition to private equity.

Oh boy! Here comes another shuffle. Let’s be honest, Mike was bit of a softy and people clearly took advantage of that. looking at the current EVP roster, I don’t think anyone is positioned to step into that role effectively. Bringing in outside hires hasn’t proven especially successful either. Dhivya is a good example of that. I believe we need someone with significant institutional tenure, someone who understands the nuances of how this company really operates. I don’t know about Takis either but he does have a stronger presence not sure if that’s going to work. We’ll have to wait and see.

It was the plan all along. Frank hired Takis and made him pay of the MC months before they hired Mike. Frank and Takis worked together at JP. Mike was brought in to take the fall for Frank's Clover scandal that tanked our stock right after his Senate confirmation. He wouldn't do that to his friend.
