Hello - as location strategy is coming for me, I'm exploring what my options are, including joining a FiNet team. As a long-time Wells employee, I'm curious if FiNet advisors and teams are technically Wells Fargo employees (i.e. I would have continuity in my WFC employment for benefits, severance, etc.)?

I believe policy indicates that severance stops if you are rehired by an affiliate. Would FiNet be considered an affiliate?
I'm assuming OP isn't from WFA. But then, why would a FiNet practice hire someone without brokerage experience.
FiNet is merely a platform that advisors pay to use......advisors that are not employees of WF. It's a revenue generator for the company so the advisors who use it are considered "customers".
Is that a serious question? If yiu are with WFA you should know that going with a FiNet team means you are no longer an employee of Wells Fargo. They are not even contractors. FiNet is a separate business that is like a franchise.
No, they are 1099 contractors, not W2 employees, and source their own insurance and other benefits.
They are independent. The Finet owner pays your salary, your benefits and 401k match. So it’s up to the owner on where you work
