I hope a solid company purchases the refineries 100% and returns them to profitably so the workforce and communities can benefit. CVE has not demonstrated long term investments in the assets’ nearby community schools and organizations in the same way legacy owners did. The workforce, community, employees, contractors and universities are talking negatively about the actions of CVE as things have taken a turn for the worse. The reputation score of CVE is dropping and reflected in shareholder confidence. I’ve heard CVE described as a stage and a curtain with nothing behind it.
Another cr-p thread. Who would buy 50 plus year old money pits. The super majors unloaded these ticking time bombs for a reason in the first place.

The links provided mention nothing of a merger.
The one in English is a joint legal complaint between Cenovus and Phillips66 against TransCanada Keystone.
The one in French is a proposal from Westcoast Energy Inc to the Canada Energy Regulator to replace Meter Station 27.
OP deserves more downvotes for trolling us.
This is just a complaint against TC variable toll. They are just complaining about crude tolls. Phillip 66 and Cenovus have two JVs Woodriver and Borger . Don’t read too much into it.
If the whole merger happens, it would be a disaster for Canadian workers. Many people will be laid off. But I think Phillips is just trying to buy some US assets though.....
