Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Reorgs coming, again :-(

Get ready AFO, you are next on the list. Usually means consolidation and layoffs, increased work, same pay for those that survive.

Just like systemic election fraud , there are consequences to arrogant, greedy pseudo-intellectual corporate 'leaders' making disastrous decisions (dtv, tmob , WB, etc) while taking $millions to destroy a company , jobs , shareholder value . BOD crony club gave carte blanche to C-suite id--t sociopaths that look down from the Ivory Tower and blame everyone else. Never ending cuts will NOT change history, Stank legacy. Rats like Donovan even saw the writing on the wall

Troll, if you were a union member then, you would know there are various options for job security but eventual someone is without a chair, you aren’t bullet proof. There are tactics the company uses to get people to quit or retire early. I’m not going to list any here but the managers are experiencing a form of it now with the hub relocation and RTO plan.

Of course folks deserve to get severance and help to transition when let go but you guys have such a high opinion of yourselves.

Me, Me, Me, Me, Me, Me, Me, Me, Me, Me, Me, Me, Me, Me, Me, Me, Me, Me, Me, Me………..

“Pull yourself up by your bootstraps and no handouts or help for anyone” (unless they’re for me, me, me, me….). Then you start crying and blame everyone else for your woes especially those that are different from you.

Maybe you’re not living with Mommy any longer but give it time and you’ll be back on her t33t. You know it’s true. You know who you are. Just keep quiet and admit it.

Happy Friday!!

There’s a ton of meat on the bone in AFO. It’s been a long time coming. Trim it.

You sound like the guy who was terminated and found your Shanghai-La at a non profit while, still living in mommies basement. Get over it and move on, a lot of people have been involved in layoffs.

Whaaa! Everyone is tired of your schtick, we get it, AT&T is bad, employees are stooopid conservatives and you were the best thing since sliced bread. Your immaturity is on display because you have had plenty of time to go through 10 stages of grief and move on. Instead, you decide to continue to lash out and be miserable, I suggest you see a mental health professional. I’m sure mommy would like that too!

Just to be clear, AFO has no presence in the OOR, non ILEC part of AT&T’s footprint. LNS and LEG-T teams are split between AT&T Business and Network Engineering & Ops in those areas.

I would suggest some of you go use Webphone instead of making inaccurate statements and talking nonsense on this board just to whip people up into a frenzy.

This may be a targeted reorg and not the whole org, just speculating.

Waahhhh! Aren’t you special and privileged.

Being “conservative” is more than politics - broaden your thinking.

I guess you’ve never heard of the marketplace and being competitive in business before, this isn’t about politics, you goof. I haven’t seen anyone mention being conservative either, it’s your label but you do you. Continue to do what they are paying you for and distract from what’s really happening, company troll.

We are still staying for severance and nothing you or any sycophants say, will change that!

Good Grief - you “conservative” types are a real piece of work especially those that posted “waahhhh, it is a benefit”.

You’re probably only in favor of FEMA support for tragic natural disasters if it goes to a red state.

Just try to care for others the way you clearly want to be treated.

That doesn’t enter the mind of the elite with their gated communities, protection services and low crime areas. A few injuries and fatalities is just the cost of doing business in the calculations, they don’t know you or your family. Sorry but that’s why they have group life insurance for such occurrences. Your risk, their reward but your family will receive condolences and compensation when it happens.

Hope leadership that made this derision, sleeps well at night after someone is severely injured or becomes a crime victim. It’s only a matter of time before it happens. Thanks Stankey!

Since Stankey and company did away with management retiree healthcare, a lot of people need the severance to get them to 65 for Medicare. Others need to get to full retirement age, they are close to retirement and don’t want to try and find another job at this age for obvious reasons and pensions have changed along with many of other benefits.

AT&T boomers and GenX got the rug pulled out from under them after lifelong service and the expectations throughout their career that those benefits and policies would be there at the end of their careers, like those before them. Telephony has been around for a 140 plus years, it’s a legacy business and utility that was devastated by a few SBC execs within a decade.

I love the new work schedule for 40% of the techs, 10AM-7PM. Work/Life balance is awesome for us and our families, THANK YOU! leadership. Can’t wait for the summer load and forced OT, be like a deployment when I was in the military. Right now we are working alone in the dark at terminals and PFP/Xbox’s near the street in unsafe areas, seeing dr-g deals and surrounded by gunfire, sounds familiar but this time it’s in an urban environment.

Shouldn’t be long before someone gets robbed or worse and NO! Flashing lights, reflective vest and head on a swivel isn’t a deterrent for the homeless, gangbangers and dr-ggies.

“Bring it on, severance and retirement at last. Ready for a mental health break from the never ending changes, layoffs and toxicity.”

Good grief, if you’re ready to retire, just F’ing retire already.

The biggest sham there is, is this workforce thinking the company should pay them to retire.

So many of you are boomer conservatives yet you act like entitled millennials and that want hand outs akin to socialism. Make up your F’ing hypocrite minds on what is right or wrong.

The company doesn’t owe you anything beyond the paycheck you get every two weeks, got it?
