Lol
This will be a massive failure.
You can't go back.

Old mindset. Older CEO now trying to bring in the old brick and mortar mindset. Nope ... JMO

@az There you go you can help them out while you sit with them in your shiny suit lol. Jokes aside there will be some RTO as to how they are going to handle we will need to wait and see. UHC seems to follow the Feds they laid off loads so did UHC, they made employees return to the office looks like UHC is going in that direction as well.

@b0 and not all MN employees, my
coworker remained full telecommuter

it's my understanding only those who are MN or DC telecommuters and their managers received the communication. i'm wondering why they haven't sent out a mass communication to all employees to stop the rumor mill.

@as so 50+ employees are just going to stand around for a non existent desk at a optum owned clinic? Maybe we can sit with the patients outside.

@a2
What area do you work in?

Is this RTO requirement from the same memo that only applies to Minnesota and Washington, DC?

My team is spread out all over the country, and I was hired as a telecommuter. What would be the point of RTO? I cannot "collaborate in person" with coworkers who live on the opposite coast. Does this really affect ALL employees?

@OP what department is this?

Anyone not close to an office will use a satellite office within a medical group in their area. Example anyone by an Optum office would go there.

All employees where? Everyone is all over the place and most places don't have an office. Please elaborate on who got the memo.

I was just eliminated in business development. Layoffs are happening at corporate today. Three friends in UHC and seven at Optum were impacted.

I haven’t gotten a memo or info about it and our team is all over the place, I also have been remote since starting. Is this for all?
