You are a loser if you stay here.
Only exceptions are: people in their late 50’s - early 60’s looking to cash out, people fresh out of college and … India low cost/ low self worth.
All the rest? You lose. Robin thinks you are nothing. This place is a tu-rd burger with mayo.
So…. The moral is: dont be a loser. Get out!

Are you sure? Senior associate (I grade) is still in the 65k to 95k range in NYC. It hasn’t changed since I got low balled 10 years ago with the min range of that grade (about 64k) and that was from a promotion internally. J grade VP still in the laughable 70s range. What’s the range for Florida? Either way, you work in NYc, these ranges are garbage!
Average pay in Florida is not even close to NY.
VPs in Florida make I level money in NY.
Pay is the same at all bank at equivalent positions, period.
What confuses you is that compensation also changes due to location.
Move to NYC and your pay will more than double.
What do you mean “cash out?” There is nothing to cash out from the Bank! The pension plan has had so many cuts over 42 years that we receive only pennies on the dollar. The 401K was cut over and over. We learned three decades ago to save into a personal Roth IRA rather than the constantly cut BNYM 401-K.
We’ve now had zero exposure to BNYM for four years and my regular weekend BNYM nightmares for 42 years are miles behind me in the rear view mirror
If you do nothing else… only save enough in the BNYM 401K to get the match and open a personal Roth IRA outside of BNYM.
I am two years out of college and I regret coming here. I’d rather work at the ‘Krusty Krab’ than put up with this. Dozens of applications sent, 2 interviews. It’s not easy. Especially with bills. I cannot wait to get out of here.
Kids coming out of college are usually desperate to land somewhere quick. And so, they unsuspectingly wind up here. Caveat emptor.

And you sound like a bitter loser oinker who likes to wallow in this stinking mess … because it’s the best you can do. OP is right, anyone sensible needs to get going on a new job search
Why would anyone coming out to college come to work here ?
And you seem like a bitter loser who either still works here or you got fired and are bitter and still stalk posts about this company
If only finding another job was so easy
If you work at 240 I’d recommend to get out faster. The pay is so low that even the average pay in Florida is starting to catch up to NY levels up to VP rank. Plus you have so many options in NYC. A VP at a rival bank will get paid almost double of what a VP earns at BNY.
