Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

I just took my PLE ergonomics in the office training . . .

Who do I report Stankey to for not providing me an ergonomically correct chair since I have to sit at the kitchen counter in the break room?

"Get a sense of humor, dipsh!t."

Sorry, I missed the sarcasm in your statement. Maybe it is your inability to convey your message properly that is the problem. Typical AT&T, dim wh-t employee . . . blaming others for your own shortcomings, needle di-k.

Apparently you didn't learn anything from the training.

Get a sense of humor, dipsh!t.
Do you really think the suggestion to bring in your own chair was serious?

This is why people in the workplace (and in general) cannot STAND being around people such as yourself. You have no sense of humor, no ability to banter back and forth, no proactive D.I.Y. approach, lame social skills, are constantly whining, and just nothing to give but blah/bad vibes all around.

"So load your lumbar chair into your car, and wheel it into the break room, so you can use it each day! "

First, not my responsibility to supply myself with an appropriate chair at an employee location. Second, the areas available are counter height, not table height so my chair would not work anyway.

FYI for those that say that OSHA won’t do anything, remember that TRUMP is the Sheriff now. ALL of the government agencies are working a whole lot better because all the fake ghost employees that received complaints are replaced with actual real people now.

So load your lumbar chair into your car, and wheel it into the break room, so you can use it each day!

Problem solved.

"I bet your home is the same way."

No, I actually have a real office chair with adjustable lumbar, arms, and leg settings.

File a work comp claim. Go see a chiropractor

This is what will actually get the company to change their behavior.

“I bet your home is the same way.”

That’s out of OSHA’s jurisdiction.

AT&T is not.

" if you call OSHA for mold asbestos, filthy conditions ETC. Do they close building is it anonymous? No Joke just sincerely asking...I need my JOB, so we all have been sitting here no ventilation water leaks......."

Yes, you can remain anonymous. If they deem the building is unsafe to work in, they will require the employer to relocate the employees in that space. Could be another office or (more likely) depending on your organization they would tell you to work from home while the employer remediates the space to make it safe for its employees.

Is true for many, many of us.
OSHA will do nothing.

Is it just me or do others daydream, during a 90+ min drive in, of arriving to a burned down husk of a building and gladly get to return to origination point?

That's a little excessive.

If true (which is unlikely)...

DO SOMETHING.

Go to your Dr. Call OSHA (the number is below...)

What do you think will be changed by posting about it here?

OSHA's General Duty Clause (Section 5(a)(1) of the OSH Act) requires employers to provide a workplace free from recognized hazards that cause or are likely to cause death or serious physical harm.

This means employers must identify and address ergonomic hazards, even without a specific ergonomics standard.

To report ergonomics issues to OSHA, you can call their 24-hour hotline at 1-800-321-6742, visit the OSHA website to file a complaint online, or contact your nearest OSHA office.
