@f9 if you like to enjoy:

  1. 5 days in the office
  2. 10-20% less a year in salary
  3. Manager bonuses that look more like associate bonuses (Supervisor/Senior = 8%, Area Mgr/Principal = 12%, Director/Lead = 25%)

AT&T might be for you

Fight the man and join the 99% by calling out or using PTO on 9/9 to protest RTO!

Sounds like some people are lonely. Newsflash, having more people in the office to BS with is still no substitute for your sorry excuse for a social life.

This is total BS.
If you like to enjoy 5 days work at the office, leave Verizon and move to ATT, if they want you.

Regardless of how you feel about RTO, I wish VZ would operate with this level of transparency.

@dd because going into a switch that had maybe 6 people working out of it pre covid and now has maybe 4 is worth the time to drive in and then do all your meetings over webex any way as most of the team is spread across the country. some rolls that support the network are best done away from the office. when we work those 7am-8pm shifts i dont want to take on 2 hours of drive time to that. when we work from home if sh--s broken i hope on and start fixing it dont have to waste time going in

Agreed. Pretty bad when comparing the stock of the remaining three wireless carriers over the past three years - AT&T and TMOB have done well, while VZ has NOT.

Think about that - AT&T doing way better.

But the BOD are still content with 'business as usual'. One would think the shareholders would be screaming for new leadership.

Stuck in the $40's for stock price, while golden parachutes grow for the 'leadership' team.

Anyone who is not willing to go into an office and do the job is not worth having as an employee! There are way too many just as talented and more talented to take their places.

If you don't want to go to the office, then quit! No one needs you here then! JGTFO & go already!

I agree woth Stankey. The truth is that all employees should RTO five days a week. They’ve been stealing from their respective companies since covid and it’s about time it stops. Anyone who’s not on board should be immediately fired.

@ad what leaders? The BGCo account management team is the WORST I’ve ever seen in my 15+ years there. Clueless and have no ability to lead teams only scare tactics. And the Executive leadership is embarrassing. Our results speak volumes for leaders across the board. We’re on the Titanic sinking 🚢 ….

Welcome to the beginning of a new era—the Dinosaur Age of Telecom.
Verizon and AT&T aren’t evolving—they’re fossilizing in real time.

All the talk of “market-based culture,” “transformation,” and “efficiency” is just noise to cover up the obvious: they’ve run out of ideas. Instead of leading with vision, they lead with mandates. Instead of empowering talent, they issue ultimatums.

Mandatory RTO? That’s not innovation—it’s regression. And the real talent? They’re not complaining—they’re quietly leaving, because smart people don’t waste time arguing with dinosaurs.

This isn’t bold leadership. It’s extinction denial.
