Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

New Platform Rule

New Platform Rule per the managing director: Town-Halls are not optional. I guess this will be the new lay-off/ termination criteria. Maybe don’t schedule Town-Halls at 8AM. WHO does that? It’s 2 hours before my group even starts. We don’t get don’t till 7PM-8PM. I use that time to do things I can’t do later at night. Completely inconsiderate of your employees!

What the heck are these people even talking about? Everything they’re talking about they could have sent out an email on. Why would I care that this model will allow me to work across the globe and transition between teams easier. Whoever sees this as a long term goal is nuts.

My team was given a goal to complete all Peakon surveys. I thought they were anonymous? (They said sarcastically) 🤦‍♀️

I’m the op. The fact is that they are making all Town-Halls mandatory at least for operations. I’m guessing turnout has been low, so the managing director kind of made it sound like a threat and literally said the new rule is all Town-Halls will be mandatory. If you’re in operations, I would suggest reading your emails about the meeting. She didn’t state what the consequences are for missing them only that it’s mandatory. Rest is my guess. We all know BNY likes to find free ways to terminate without severance. So I would just be careful and err on the side of caution. Tomorrow’s wonderful early morning Town-Hall is scheduled for 1.5 hours.

This is MADE UP. Fake.

Someone in this forum is sadistic enough to promote this hate and fear .. I really don't mind being laid off if I cannot attend the Town Halls.

For crying out loud, what’s coming next?
Those bu-m wipe brain shark quizzes on what the clown hall was about.
And if you don’t get 80% or higher, you get whacked with no severance

you should be willing to server your masters at their beck and call. 120-160 hours a week is doable.

If the early morning meeting is for U.S. employees, then why couldn't it be started later in the morning?

Have to make sure the Outsourced Overlords can join at a comfortable time. The 8 am meetings should be warning enough to the US employees about where this companies priorities are.
